Moroccan Arabic Darija, Lhja Meghribiya Arabic ( اللهجة المغربية ), Moroccan Arabic, Maghrebi Arabic dialect, Moroccan dialect, Maghrebi Arabic, Darija, Darija language.

What is Darija?

Moroccan Darija is a dialect spoken in Morocco.  It is an Arab language that has influences from Tamazight, French, and Spanish. When the local people have a conversation in Darija they speak very quickly. Standard Arabic is used by the government, Tamazight and French are spoken by many of the population, Spanish and English are used as well. You should be aware that the Darija in Northern and Southern Morocco is slightly different.
